Default Amp wiring and rca question

I just finished installing and xtant a300 amp and a cheap little pioneer sub and am having trouble getting it to run. The amp has power and the speaker is hooked up correctly, but when you plug in the RCA's to either the amp or the back of the deck, instead of the sub working, the rear speakers stop working. any idea's on why thats happening? the deck is a jvc kd-s570. any help would be greatly appreciated.

my bad, yeah I only have one set of preouts. They are also labeled rear, which would make sense why the rears aren't working if there is something wrong with them.

that might be your problem you might want to look up the manual for your particular model to see the reccomendations of running a sub amp off of it

the best thing to do is go to the website of the company and get the exact specs on the deck you might have to run your back speakers off of one amp and split the rca signal to run your sub amp..ive heard that but never actually seen anybody do it for that reason....so leat me know what is going on ill try to help as much as possible

hope this helps .94
