Default How uncomfortable would 17's be on a CRX?

Friends got some for free to throw on, but I'm just wondering how uncomfortable they would ride?

i had 17s on my CRX since i bought it. Then the tires got really expencive so i decided to run down to the local junkyard and buy a set of stock steelies. The ride went from harsh and REALLY uncomfortable to a nice smooth ride.

Only downside to the stock steelies is that they don't grip even 1/2 as good as my old 17" X 7"s

soon maybe after my swap i'll get some 15 or 16" konig Glides..i LOVE those rims

I have 17" rims on my sedan might not be the same as a REX but I love them

but as far as comfront well they are a loss in performance if they are regular rims....

and if u got the wrong or wore out struts in the back welcome to the rubbing factory as u will almost every turn

The only thing you can really do is try them and see. The ride is going to depend on your suspension setup, Tire selection and how bad the roads are in your area. I have 17" Konig Imagine wheels and 205/40 Toyo Proxes FZ-4s and I live in an area where the roads are not all that great. I do not have any complaints about the ride change, But it is mostly preference.

^^i agree. Try them out. They are kinda rough but the cornering and grip for a launch is well worth it. IMO

yay for us Konig people i have some old Konig Toxins

I have 17's on my '90 CRX right now, and i think that they actually ride a lot smother than stock. Actually, i think that the ride it astually pretty smooth in my CRX, and it has stock suspension.
