i have a couple questions about a swap im gonna be doin hopefully soon. i wanna get a d16 for my car mainly kuz i heard they're pretty cheep and they're vtec ohh yeah and its a direct swap into a second gen crx anyways i was wonderin how much one would run me i figured about 350 or so for the hole thing. can anyone tell me if im in the ballpark with that estimate or if it will be more or not. i wasnt gonna get a rebuilt one i was just gonna get one from a junk yard or somethin like that and kinda rebuild it myself kuz i plan on junkyard turboin it hopefully around christmas time. well if anyone can help me it will be greatly appreciated

 

for 350.... thats pushin in unless u want stolen, or a pull-it-urself junkyard.... but still keep ur eyes open, people do sell them that cheap (good motors too) but not too often... oh and dont forget ecu or wiring... ur better off getting a single v-tec head

 

stupid me, scratch wiring, u can use the stock harness, just makes sure they come with the v-tec wires

 

or... run vtec yourself? its not tough...
