Decal removal...
Posted this question in the Appearance/Cosmetic board but got no response so I'll annoy people and post it here. I removed the rear TypeR decal and used some adhesive remover. It took some rubbing but it came off, the cloth had no black color on it. How can I tell if the clearcoat in that area is undamaged?
You should be fine with adhesive remover as long as you pay close attention to it and Don't scratch the paint.
I removed all of my stickers, badges, and rear wing. Ask me anything you like I'll help ya.

Okay, maybe someone can answer this for me, what is the best way to remove emblems? I don't want to scratch my paint. If you don't want to post it, could you IM me? Thanks!
the "A" emblems if you want to remove it in the safest way possible:
Front: Bumper removal is necessary to remove things on the back of the badge. Run some fishing line or floss in between the emblem and bumper then wiggle it off.
Rear: Fishing line or floss run it through between badge and trunk, take it off.
Adhesive removal: what i've found that works the best is plain ol' WD40. Spray some of that stuff on to the leftover adhesive from the emblems and place a piece of plastic bag over the area to prevent the WD40 from evaporating. I think this goes with the side ITR stickers too.
Sticker removal: Get a blow dryer and warm up the stickers so that they can be removed. Do NOT place the dryer too close to the paint, it might melt off the clearcoat. Scrape off the sticker with a card or something, then remove the adhesive.
Hope This Helps.

. Just wondering if I could have rubbed some clearcoat away. Don't think so because no paint on towel.
