Default attn those with bosche inline fuel pumps!

Does your fuel pump make an ungodly loud buzzing noise? I have mine in the engine bay and its unbelievably annoying.. I thought I was gonna get used to it but thats not happening.. I am probably gonna relocate it under the car but I dont think that will help too much.. What do all you guys with bosch pumps do? also do you guys notice horrible gass mileage too?

Try mounting the pump right next to the fuel tank. 1-it's better for the pump and 2- the noise is slightly quietter than in the engine bay.

I went to OSH and bought about a 1 foot square piece of 1/4" neoprene rubber, wrapped that bosch pump like a burrito and zip tied it tight. Quieted down enough that I couldn't tell if it was running or not (turns out about 50% of the time it wasn't of course...).

thats kinda scary, what happens when the fuel pump stops working? is that a potential way to blow a motor? i sure hope not.. Ill probably spray it with road kill and then wrap it in dyno mat... then mount it under the car.. hopefully that should do it
