Cold air intake???

Default Cold air intake???

I live in Vancouver Washington, it rains a lot here and im worried about water getting sucked up by a cold air intake, is it a good idea???

Well AEM has a thing called a bypass valve. If i lived in Washington though I would probably just stick with short ram.

i agree with you i'd just use a short ram in that area even though that bypass valve is very sweet

It is sweet, but i have heard of some having problems. Not for sure, but im sure if you searched youd find it.

heard that the aem bypass only works if the intake has been submerged in water, does little to nothing for splashes or partial suction...it would worry me too much. run the short ram.

I've got one, but I figure that as long as your plastic inner fender is intact, that should be enough to protect you from the spray from your wheels. If you see a really *big* puddle, go around it. I haven't had any problems yet.

If you really have your sights set on a cold-air system then all you need is a by-pass valve. It takes care of all your problems, concerning water. Yet you will have to fork out some change, because the system itself is not cheap.

Are you joking, its just a little filter that goes before the cold air extension, they are 30 bucks at most
