pls help guys, i am in desperate need of this

Did you get the manifold from an automatic or a manual tranny car?
It makes a big difference.
The manual has the IAT is on the back of the manifold and has 2 wires.
The automatic version has the IAT built into the throttle body and it has 3 wires.
There was a post on this earlier this week.

The IAT is supossed to be in the intake pipe for a Y8 I did a temp. fix on mine and used the vacumm hose off the front of the plenum, and plumbed it to the sensor, works good I plan to extend the wires to the intake pipe soon though. If you don't mind being ghetto you could keep it that way, I've ran it for a month now, but I'm not ghetto so gotta do it right.

they are both obd2...i thought the iat was in the intake tube on the d16y7 also? the auto version would be the ideal version, but the manual manifold will work also.
if you have the manual manifold, you will have to plug the 2 holes on the back were the 2-wire iat was. you will also need to use your stock y7 throttlebody with teh 3-wire iacv. the 2000 has air injection that will need to be plugged.
im blanking on were the iat is located on the d16y7.......
here is a worthless link that has pics to describe some of the manifold crap:

im thinking he meant iacv...cause there is no iat on the y8 throttlebody, and i dont believe its on the y7 throttlebody either.
lots of people get iacv mixed up with iat...easy to do when your typing fast.

so i checked out the link that u gave me, and basically waht i saw with the iat is that i should just run longer wires and put the iat into the sleeve for the intake tubing, so i guess that will get rid of my plm, pls correct me if im wrong... come on guys i know some one has to have done this before...PLEASE someone help me!!

oh...i was thinking that you were putting the 00 y8 manifold on your 97 civic with a y7.
now that i have slept i realize that this is the crx / ef civic forum... so yes the iat will have to go in the intake tubing somewhere since there is no place for it in the manifold. at first i put it into the rubber sleeve to hold my intake, then i just got a 99-00 si cai...since it has a spot for an iat (the 96-00 style iat).

ok guys right now i am running an intake manifold from a sohc non vtec del sol, it looks like the same manifold my friend has on his stock del sol, if that helps any. it has an IACV on the back of the manifold, and that is also where the IAT is on the driver side. the throttle body has no sensors except the tps, so i dont need to worry about that. is there anyone local that has done this swap? i can get pics witha digi cam if that will help....

Ok I got a pick of the hole I used. On mine it had a vacumm port on this pic it appears to be welded shut, but the guy who did thos found yet another creative place to put the IAT. Take a look and see.

what else do you need help with? if there is no iat in the manifold then you will have to put it into your intake tubing somewhere. i believe obd1 manifolds use the same type of iat as obd0 manifolds.
ok guys sorry i was trippin out for a minute there, i put the manifold on and found out where everything goes, so that is all fine, then i over looked the fact that the fuel rail is different
thats what happens when u dont search enough...all posts had an IPT looking fuel rail, just like how my stock one looks, well apparantely that one has 3 holes and the EX has 2 holes, so i had to go buy the 2000 y8 fuel rail...when that comes in everything should be good....y8 fuel rail, and b17a throttle body...this lil hatch will have a little better time breathing now
