4th gen bumper replacement
hey guys...i have a 94 lude and here's my problem:
(i will take pictures later on)
but the bumper area (where my right front bumper lense is) has been loose since we bought the car and the paint is peeling and the screwhole where you screw the lense in (not the outside lense, but the inside one) is gone, the whole bar the screwhole was in is gone, so that raises the question, what should i do as far as bumper replacement? would a new bumper cover and spoiler work? would it include the screwholes for the lense replacement? also, how much would you expect to put into just having what i order new painted and match it to the current paint?

These kind of things vary depending on your given circumstances, body shop, where you get your parts....my suggestion...

ebay has some oem after market bumper covers for about 100 shipped. If Im understanding your question about the lens screw hole - I think your problem will be fixed. If that is the only prob with your current bumper - u might try to rig something that will hold your lens in instead of buying a new one. As far as cost of painting it - fresh paint wont match your old faded paint (if its faded.) Sometimes they blend the paint with the rest of the car. Meaning a gradual change from new paint to old instead of instantly changing, making it harder to notice its been partially painted. I'd take it to a body shop and get a quote.
Hope this helps

scratch my last post, the bumper would cost me over $200 from discountpartsconnection, for $83.95 i can get the bumper cover primed that comes with the necesary screwholes for the lense (and also, i want to go ahead and get a new front bumper instead of trying to rig mine up and get it painted, the paint is peeling :\) http://www.carpartswholesale.c...ELUDE

If I were you , I'd buy the cheaper "raw" bumper cover. Your body shop will prime it. You never know what the seller might hide behind some primer.
Just my 2 cents.
