Mickey Thompson slicks sizing help!
I myself have some 22x8x15 slicks and they work great. I'm currently looking for a pair of kosei k1 15x7's to mount them on, right now, i'm using them on some steel wheels.

my car is lowered quite a bit (on ha's), but the overall diameter of the slick is only 22 inches, so if whatever wheel/tire combination you have clears your drop, the slicks will clear without a problem... btw, ive got the slicks mounted on 15x7 rp01's with a +35 offset...
the only problem i encounter is when it comes time to swap the slicks for my street tires... the garage jack will not slide underneath the car, so i must drive over a couple boards...

The overall diameter is shorter on the 22in slick BUT the width isn't. The shoulder protrudes farther away from the center of the wheel. As a result, the 8in wide slick might rub against the sidewall in lowered cars.

i normally drive around on te37's 17x7.5+40 w/ 215/40s... the car is slammed, less than 1 finger clearance all around, and in almost two years i have been drag racing with slicks, i have never rubbed anywhere whatsoever... i did mention before i had them mounted on 15x7+35 wheels. because of the lower offset, the slicks stick out even more than they would normally. now, if i was using a wheel with a higher offset, such as a stock wheel, i would be worried about rubbing on the inside, especially if my car was slammed...

We ran the 22x8x15 MT last year - If you ever load your car on a trailer its a challange if the front is lowered.
We were not able to get traction with the MT slick - still spinning in 3d gear.
This year we went with MH 24.5x8.5x15 much better
Your slick size depends on how much power your running and your tranny gearing.
You may want to look at MH they seem to be more in-tune with what's going on with the import scene. What I mean is they offer more tire sizes that apply to the import scene than MT does. MT's focus is still on the domestic needs.
Just my openion.

the 225's would be the largest that would fit correct?
