Default No More Competitive 4 Doors!

The way current Import Rules are set up , there is no room for 4 doors in Drag Racing. Partly sour grapes on my part, but just got back from (watching) Bakersfield and running at Budd's Creek (MIR):

At Budd's, I prob had a better b16a than the girl that was ~2nd but of course she weighed 750 lbs less! So she ran 12.7 and I ran 13.98 (non-qualifier). Synchros bad but best I could have hoped for at that weight was about 13.6. They put me in Hybrid 4 while they let nearly full race modded ITR to run Mod 4 while '99 and '00 Civic Si would run Mod4.

At Bakersfield, that left only hatches and CRX's to run, and they were RUNNIN'. I saw 10 sec. Hondas (with turbo) have to run Bracket cause of getting *** kicked in power division. No 4 doors in anything of any div. besides bracket.

What I am saying by all of this is that unless they give some kind of weight break, we won't see anymore 4 doors. I am thinking of going CRX or hatch (still EF though) cause it is too damn hard to make it in the field. I might be able to make it with CRVTEC or LS/VTEC into the Quick 8 but NEVER win it.Kind of sad, I think....

Ah, man don't worry about it. The 4drs really weren't meant to go that fast. However, I saw a 4dr qualify for the quick class at the IDRC east coast nationals at maple grove. I heard it ran in the tens in eliminations and won in the 1st round but was eventually eliminated. That is what I heard so I am not sure if it is true. I left early.
