Default Is dynomax any good?

Is Dynomax a good muffler specifically the "super turbo" model as I am looking for something that is free flowing but is quiet?

Not exactly quiet. The turbo mufflers tend to have the "tin can" sound on a Honda.

Free flowing and quiet. I have a custom 2 1/2 exhaust with a dynomax super turbo muffler. I love it. This is on a turbo d16z6. It's very quiet, actually has a performance sound unlike 90% of $500 dollar exhausts.

the Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers have a lifetime warranty and mine last 4.5 years before it rotted out. $46 in labor/clamps/hangers to replace it.

I have a Dynomax Super Turbo, and I definitely get the "tin can" sound. I even installed a bigger resonator, but it didn't help. The buzzing really gets on my nerves. Other than that, I'm pleased with the quality and design. It's pretty quiet, but with a nice deep tone (when it's not buzzing). The sound problems may be related to the test pipe though. A cat definitely breaks up the exhaust pulses some.

Mistabone, did you manage to eliminate the "tin can" sound? Maybe it's related to the particular desing of the super turbo. Mine is a side-center design. Is that what you're running?

With 2.2" "test pipe" is gets nasty loud inside the car. I put the cat back on for long trips. I'm running a round #17441 muffler. I will be adding a "cherry bomb" glass pack soon to kill the noise.

anyone like the dynomax ultra flos? i heard they stopped making them though.

btw, does a glasspack really have no negative affect on flow? a muff man told me that.

They're still on the site: http://www.dynomax.com/mufflers.stm
A perforated core glasspack shouldn't hurt flow, but a louvered core will.
