compression test
what is the worst that would happen if you do a compression test and crank it over while the tool is and you dont disable the distributor. can you fry your ecu???
well did you try it and now your car doesnt start at all or is this some hypothetical question?
usuallly when doing compression testing you just pop off the ecu fuse and then do the compression testing with the gas pedal floored to open the TB

yeah this is what i did, i didnt take out any fuses or anything, just bought the tool and then turned er over, now my ecu wont even throw a code. in the dizzy harness the orange wire CYP senser was black (female end on the clip)

i actually purposly tried throwing a code by pulling a wire out of the 02 senser, i had this happen when i got new exhaust. the wire just came loose or something and threw a code so i just pushed it back in.
To be honest I have never even pulled the ECU fuse. This type of test to the best of my knowledgs has nothing to do with the ECU. Someone correct me if I am wrong but you have F..ked something up.....
