Default compression test

what is the worst that would happen if you do a compression test and crank it over while the tool is and you dont disable the distributor. can you fry your ecu???

why would you disable the distributor? you just need to take the ecu fuse out.

well did you try it and now your car doesnt start at all or is this some hypothetical question?

usuallly when doing compression testing you just pop off the ecu fuse and then do the compression testing with the gas pedal floored to open the TB

i actually purposly tried throwing a code by pulling a wire out of the 02 senser, i had this happen when i got new exhaust. the wire just came loose or something and threw a code so i just pushed it back in.

To be honest I have never even pulled the ECU fuse. This type of test to the best of my knowledgs has nothing to do with the ECU. Someone correct me if I am wrong but you have F..ked something up.....
