Default WOW, weight really does make a difference. ('01 GSR)

After reading through all of the "How to drop Lbs. from the teg" and all that, I decided to try also...

I pulled my subs/amp/crossover/capacitors/Lots of 4ga./+HUGE cd case...

Removed P.S. pump/lines/reservoir/brackets(belt was already disconnected)...

Replaced my spare/tools/jack with a can of flat fix...

And negligible stuff too (Teg manual, rear mats, loose change)

...ON MY CHEEZY SCALE...

The stereo setup was ~80Lbs.
The P.S. junk... ~12Lbs.
The Rear-o-car Junk... ~29Lbs.
Other was only ~4Lbs.

A total of 125Lbs. was dropped, and I can definitely say that it made a difference!! Second gear doesnt lag right after the shift... and leaving the line is much smoother. I think ill start pullin a few more things soon...

SORRY TO BEAT THE "WEIGHT" THREAD TO DEATH.

Gone...

Default Re: (deputyGSR)

now when you add a passenger that extra weight wont be as noticeable.

To the original poster, your setup is the same as my old, and when i started haulin people around, i could definitely feel the extra weight holding me back.
