Default around and around we go...

Okay, I have gotten pretty good at summarizing this so lets give it a go. I am a 16 yr old male from East Texas. I will be 17 in October. When i turned 16, my parents gave me a F-150 to get me around, to school, work, etc. But after driving that I have realized that I want a fun car. Not a car to be stupid in, but a car that makes getting on the interstate fun. A car that will let me be taken serious at car shows.. Upon thinking about it, I realized there was no other option than the Integra, 3rd gen. I went to automotiveforums.com which sent me to some 2nd gen integra place, and then from there I went to team-integra.net which i was then sent to this place and integrastx.net . Here is what i want/need, and any help on how, where, and how much will be more than appreciated!

I want a black 3rd gen Integra, with no interior whatsoever (i am hoping to make this personal so that I can convince the person to strip it out and part it to make more money for them and give me what i need, none of what i don't) Motor... i would perfer one with an engine, but I can take it without. I want this soon, so I can start working on it and see what my hard work and money is making. Once again, I live in Texas and any help would be apprecaited.

I went to a pull it yard but all I found was a redneck telling me that he couldn't sell me the body because of some state regulation forbiding selling it without the title. I dont want to mess with bent frames, so that was also a problem. I am really looking for someone who has taken the motor or sumthin from their integra and just has the leftover shell. Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot

DT

Exactly right. As I said, I would perfer a body with motor, but no interior. I say this because I can attain parts easily for the interior, and do not want to deal with trying to sell the old parts off. The reason I am going for a shell is because of money. I want to see my work coming together from the body up so instead of just saving until I have enough money to get the shell with motor, I want the shell and then the motor at a later date. With school approaching quickly and tax free weekend about a week away, my travel area shrinks drastically. It is now down to a 2 day trip, including there and back, but this can be at anytime. Considering it takes 3 days to get to California, I do not think that this is that bad. Any help is appreciated once again, thanks

Search for theft recovery's, they have parts removed from the interior most of the time. I saw a red 95 with no engine, engine cradle, suspension, interior, for 1000 dollars here in CO awhile ago. Search for salvage yards.

You should post this in the classifieds forum, you'd probably get more people who have what you're looking for
also search the classifieds using the search option at the top of the page for the words "integra","shell", and "theft"
good luck

it'd probably cost more to ship the shell than the sale price would be

sorry i havent been able to get on in a couple days, ive been out at the lake tryin to kill myself on a wakeboard... or at least that is what it seemed like i was trying to do! Anyways, I think I have found a shell for 700, not sure if it has tranny or anything, will find out more tomorrow when i go into work. Also, the reason that I do not go to an auction, is that most of them around here at least require you to be 18, or have an adult legal gaudrian, which my parents don't have the time to help me with this so it isn't a good idea. Insurance auctions require a dealer there incase you flake out, also not something I have. How much would an engine go for also? anything but the Type R. thanks again for any and all help,

DT

Okay, i found out more about the shell I told you about eariler. It has nothing. No engine, tranny, etc. The best thing about it is that it has black leather interior... which is exactly opposite of what I want so there goes that deal. I am going to call around junk yards in neighbooring towns on monday to see if they have anything. But from past experience, when they recieve the title they turn it in to the government or sumthin and can't sell the body! Anyone know anything else about this?

I agree with one of the guys who posted on that forum. I am looking for a shell, not a shell with a bunch of fancy parts. I can get all of that from a sponser (and yes I already have one) I just need the body to start on.

you can always sell the parts you don't want; the guys who have posted to his FS thread are not right, the car has a clean title and is only missing the motor/tranny. A shell is different that an integra pnly missing a tranny and motor. A shell usually is missing a lot more, but anyway...................

i think you should do a better search.. of the vehicle you want.. the blk inteior..shell would have been a start..kinda sounds like you dont really know what you want.. if you can get a shell with parts just get it.. and take what you dont need or want out.. if a shell is all you want.. i think you should just put air bags on your f-150 and call it a day.. =P
