Default FS: 1997 CW ITR 68,000 Miles $10,000OBO

VEHICLE IS SOLD

Ok, due to alot of request for more information, it will be alot easier for me to just post all the information here. I just recently purchased this car from a guy in florida on the 3rd of this month. That's 07/03/2004...

Anyhow, I picked it up thinking I would have enough time and dedication to rebuild and restore it. Well after going through some of my financial stuff, it would be alot "affordable" for me to have a new vehicle. This car just requires so much work done to it that it's only recommended for those who are looking for a project car.

First let's start off with the exterior. The paint of the car has oxidized. It's not that much different from alot of vehicles that are exposed to the sun for almost 8 years. So the car definitely needs a new paint job. The front bumper looks like it has been involved in a minor fender bender. Reason I say that is because there is a large patch of bondo to the passenger side right underneath the headlight to the side of the vehicle. Here's a picture:

http://lenchan.web.aplus.net/images/IMG_0001.JPG

Now depending on what you want to do, you may opt for a new replacement bumper or an entire JDM front clip if you please. Anyhow, the fender liners are cut so they need to be replaced on both sides.

Next up is the driver's door. Someone has backed into it leaving a bad enough dent. Here's the deal though, I will include two new 01 ITR black doors with the purchase. Only thing is, you'd have to get it painted. Here's a pic:

http://lenchan.web.aplus.net/images/IMG_0002.JPG

This is a picture of the rest of the driver's door. Which I got frustrated and pushed in some more. http://lenchan.web.aplus.net/images/IMG_0003.JPG On the 1/4, you can see the damage. I managed to push it out a little so it's not noticeable. But two really good body shops said that it would be much cleaner to replace the 1/4 panel instead of using bondo. Again, your decision to make.

These two last pictures are the rear bumper. On the first picture you'll notice a large scrape where a car backed into it. http://lenchan.web.aplus.net/images/IMG_0004.JPG On the second picture you can see where it was pushed up against the panel right underneath the tailight. http://lenchan.web.aplus.net/images/IMG_0005.JPG Now I have not been able to take a look to see what kind of damage it is. But the body shop I went to get an estimate recommended me replacing the rear bumper along with that panel that sits underneath the taillights.

The rear spoiler have been stolen off the car and the tailgate may have to be replaced, but it's not necessary. A really good body shop can weld the holes shut for you if you decide to go wingless. The car does not have the 97 ITR front chin spoiler. The two rear 1/4 windows' outside trimming has a rust look to it. You may paint or replace, which involves purchasing new glass.

The hood has a slight nick on it but nothing that can't be repaired.

The wheels can be cleaned, which I have cleaned slightly. But they're in good condition. No out of roundness. I have stock ITR suspension that is going on the car. Brake pads have been recently replaced along with the rotors which have rusted because it has sat for so long. Overall, the body is in fair condition. Suspension is in good condition. I have all necessary tower bars for the USDM spec ITR.

On the interior, I will have the dash vents replaced. The old one has broken. I will have two mint condition used door panels. I might have two mint condition front seats. I will have the stock amber ITR radio. Stock audio system. The fuel pump whines a little. Perhaps it's not stock? I will have new floor carpet and cleaned up rear side panels and rear panels with all new clips. Spare tire and tools.

As for the engine, I have a brand new B18C5 block in it right now. It has less than 1,300 miles from it. I can provide a reciept of purchase if needed for registration purposes. I also have a head that I haven't installed yet. It's a 00-01 ITR head that's brand new from the dealership. The transmission is the original transmission and has no grinds. If you are interested in a new transmission, I will be able to work out a deal with you to get one really cheap from my dealership. The car has cold A/C and power steering. It does not overheat, but it is in need of a thermostat and perhaps a thermoswitch. It will have the stock exhaust manifold and stock intake system with resonator. Brand new clutch installed also. Has less than 1,300 miles on it.

For a very specific question or request, please feel free to ask.

Len
