hey all. Sorry to bother you people but my car won't start. here's what happend.

all today my car was fine, hit vtec a few times earlier, went to school and on the way home i was normal driving from then to take my turn in 3rd gear. coasting, shifted.. released the clutch and my car starts sputtering.. about 10 feet ahead my car shuts off. i check my fuel it's at 1/8th a tank, battery is working cuz music is playing it's sad song to my broke car, and all my fuses seem to be kosher.

i've only had the car for about 4 months which has about 103 grand miles on my first car. so i've been kinda abusing the single cam but people tell me they're tuff motors. all the harness' seemed to be plugged in by the naked eye.

what i'm asking for here fellaz is some opinions on what it could possibly be. still not worty to wear my honda-tech t-****. loL thanks a lot though. have a good one.

i had the same thing happened to me before.

 

sounds more like a fuel issue...fuel pump failure??? does it "humm" when u turn the vehicle into the "on" position? you should be able to distintcly hear it

 

I'll tell you what your prob. is, first check if you have any spark, pull out the #1 wire, and have some one crank it and look in the hole. if you see or hear a spark thats. good. but if you don't it's your distributer, and if you have an old one laying around I'll tell you how to fix it. and if you don't, then go to pick a part and put it in your pocket. lol . first take off the cap with the plugs still on (for you know where they go) then have some one crank it over untel you see the srew on the rotor., un do it and remove the rotor. and cover. then you'll see theis little box with 4 or 3 wires contected to it. make sure you know where the wire's go. (draw it out if you have to), and then unbolt it and remove all the wires. and throw it away. lol then put the just one in out of the old distributer. the same way that you took it out, put it all back together and there you have it, it's called a resistor, go get one.

as i was trying to start my car i could hear the humm and smell gas as it wasn't sparking.

this morning iw oke up to take a look at my dizzy, kinda weird that it was new a few months ago and is now not sparking, so seems like this might be it.. if not is there anything besides the fuse, fuel pump/filter, or dizzy it could be? thanks a lot dood, have a good one.

 

hey guys thanks for all your advice, a friend of mine ian told me to take apart the dizzy and check for a loose coil, so when i did my uncle didn't know what to do so we took it to check what we hadda get fixed, turns out it was the coil in the dizzy. dizzy was also about 6 months old also.. alright fellaz this is for the searchers i guess. alright peeace
