ok here it goes. sorry about the caps, i have to have them on at work for our receipts, ok i want to rebuild my engine, but i dont know whether i want to rebuild it with a higher compression so i can go N/A, or should i rebuild it so i can lower the compression a little and go turbo. Or just rebuild it to stock but just with better parts and put a turbo on it? i really need some help or some input on this, thanks alot guys and girls if any help out . javi

 

1) do you have a lot of money to spend at once, and a little bit more later on for maintenance/repairs, or do only come into money to spend on your car every couple months?

2) how much money do you have to spend totally on your motor?

3) are you a patient person or are you impatient?

4) do you want the best, just enough, or play it safe?

 

as for funds, i dont have them yet. i will be saving up and working 2 jobs so hopefully soon i will have the funds. I want to get something reliable but with power. i know thr turbo will give me the power but will require some maitenance. and the N/A will give me the reliability and also some power but not as much. and also turbo's feel awesome. Its hard deciding. Thats why i turned to you fellow H-T members for advice. Thanks alot

 

NA= low 14s, very reliable

FI= mid 13s, somewhat reliable

 

buy a stock motor, don't build yours, and add on a cheap/small turbo kit with low boost maybe 6-8 and tune it with a stand alone. that will give you reliability and plenty of power. otherwise you can just build up a nice N/a motor and be done for a while.
