its all about how much cash you are willing to spend to obtain the best product.

To name a few
Hytech
Prospeed
AN-R
i believe Burns is going to release something
also, a member on here by the name of rick solis is also going to offer an awesome header.

how much do you want to spend ?

dc is good when you modify the collector. A non-modified dc collector is not worth it. Try to find a use dc header if your tryin to save money and then mod it.

good luck

they're solid for a few gains. Don't be expecting like 10 to 15 whp from the header.

not from 3-400 dollars, dont expect much. Get a used DC and mod the collector to 2.5. i myself have chosen a different route.

for 300-400, the greddy is the best in that range.

For 5th gen? I've only seen it listed as "in development," but greddy does have a 4th gen header, which leads me to ask, how would you have to modify a 4th gen header, to fit it onto a 5th gen. Are there any substantial differences?

you would have to modify a 4th gen header, which from what i understand, isn't that difficult?

there should be a write up on PO.com i'm lookin as we speak.

eureka: modifications necessary on a fujitsubo 4th gen to fit a 5th http://www.preludeonline.com/s...41051 (which would apply to any header cut to OE spec)

http://www.preludeonline.com/s...eader

some general thoughts on the greddy 5th gen modifications

you can, but you might have to have a muffler shop modify the length of the collector (shouldnt be more than $50 and 30 minutes)

Rick Solis: your header looks great man

I dont personally build the headers, they are made by a well known fabricator who makes headers for some of the biggest names/companies in the industry...

stock is 1.8" ID, so upgrading to a 2.5" (most likely thats OD) so its about 2.36" ID which is a big improvement over stock/dc/etc

why dont you make a wing nut tab thingy at the end of that header so you can try different collector and length to see which would gain a little more. i would buy a burns collector and lengthen the end ofthe pipe.

The picture above is of a prototype header...

The real versions will include a CNC flange and true 4-1 slip style merge collector or 4-2-1 slip style tri y... This allows you to change from the 4-1 to a tri y or vise versa... it also makes instalation a breeze

the best headers ive seen other than customs ones are kamikazes. u can find them at alot different websites if just go to google and type in kamikaze headers.
they run about $265 to $300 i think depending on what finish u get. the best thing is they are a true 4-1 pipe. as soon as the 4 pipes merge it goes to one big long pipe for the high end HP. most 4-1's like dc are just all 4 pipes leading into a collector just a few inches long. i have several buddies that got them and they all love them, especially for the price.
