Default Garrett GT32 turbo

Im looking at a couple turbos and was wondering if you guys have had any experience with a couple turbos. Looking at getting the GT32 or GT40. And then looking at getting the SC52 or SC61. Im looking at getting around 400-450 at the most right now in a b18b with 9.1 compression pistons. Id like some really good top end, something that wont hit full boost of around 18 psi before 4500ish. Which one of these turbos would be the best for my power goals. And any compression maps or experience would be great.

Thanks guys.

you dont need a gt40 trust me , a gt35R would suit you nicely , i think the gt32 would get you there no problem either.

I had it in my stock daily driven GSR. I loved the turbo, good spool up and awesome topend. I got one for sale actually, check out the dyno sheet in the thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=939021

What are your hp goals? and what turbo are you going with now? Im wondering if this turbo would be sufficient at around 18 psi pushing 400+ hp. Those are my goals but dont want the top end to fall off at all. I want enough room for it to continue pulling even though I have to shift.

i'm not really sure what turbo i'm gonna run next. my hp goal w/ the stock block was around 300whp, which would have been easy w/ 10psi and dynotuning (the car was just street tuned to 8psi). Precision rates it to 520ish hp on imports so it should be a good canditate for what you're looking for.

ya i was looking at either this one or maybe the sc50. Both rated about the same hp but wondering which will be more efficient. anyone else had experience with ANY of those turbos? thanks

There is a GT3251E and a GT3255E. I would talk to Precision or a Precision dealer about both. I went with the GT3251E for my B18b. I know a guy in the S2000 forum is using the GT3255E on his F20C too. We will see what it can do

what kind of numbers did you put down with that turbo and what psi, and how was the curve? Did it give good top end with no drop off at the very top? or did it mainly seem to pull in the mid range? thanks

I have not used it yet. I will be reassembling and installing everything (minus the turbo parts) this weekend. I will post details and sheets as soon as I am tuned. My B18b setup is a little different from others.

The custom grinded camshafts offset my B18b from others. If you look around you will find most of my setup. Just got home from work a little bit ago so I want to get some food down
