NEED HELP W/ JDM DOOR PANELS FOR CRX
I NEED HELP, IM PLANNING ON BUYING JDM DOOR PANELS FOR MY EF8. IM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO WITH THE SEAT BELT SINCE THE JDM PANELS DONT HAVE THE PLACE FOR THE SEAT BELTS AND THE USDM DO. DOES ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BEFORE? THANKS ALOT.
well, the 88 usdm crxs have seat belts on the b-pillar. you can weld the bolt to the b-pillar like 88s or get a aftermarket harness.
keep in mind the jdm door panels have a longer cutout for the drivers door handle (power window switches).

Yup, be aware also if you're welding anchor nuts into the b-pillar, the driver side also needs a floor anchor. The passenger side already has the floor anchor, but for some stupid reason honda half-assed it. So total you should need 3 anchors welded in.
I was curious about putting the power windows in my 89 CRX SI, could i simply cut out the slot by the handle to fit the JDM handle with switches in it? Or do I have to have the JDM panel to fit the motors etc.?
JDM power windows will put the driver side control on the right door, unless you flip the switch upside-down and put it on the driver side door. you'll have to re-wire though.
It dose not work that way buddy.
I tried to flip it and it does not fit right.
to make things less complicated you can install an aftermarket onto the center console somewhere to control the windows.

what if i get the jdm power window kit (switches, longer door handles/lock, and window scissor thingy) use my usdm stock door panels and just put a plastic cover on the hole where the window handle use to be, would the jdm window scissor fit in my door without modifications?

you have to modify the door handle bracket to flip it but yes it can be done. (I've done it).

Yes, it will fit.
If you look at your USDM door handles on the back, you will see the outline for the powerwindow switch. It's about an 1 1/2" to 2" longer towards the front of the handle. That is all, in fact I am going to switch back to my USDM door panels cause it says CRX on it. The JDM ones I got is kind of worn out.

I will see what must be modified to get this working. Since you did it can you post some pics of the finished product???

I can't take pics right away, but I can say the inner door handle bracket just needs to be flipped, and if I remember correctly you just have to re-drill the screw hole to match.
