Starting problems
Hi,
I'm having a start up problem. It has been happening like every 5 days, I'll drive my Accord and have no problems, but sometimes when stop the and start it backup the engine won't turn over. The only "working" remedy is to release the pressure in the gas tank... is this a rochester vavle problem or something completley different?
I own a '90 Accord LX
Thanks,
~Jake

it is most likely your main relay. i would remove it and see if the contacts inside are corroded. it should be right next to your steering column under the driver side dash. get a haynes or helms manual and it should tell you exactly where it is.
Do a search on the forums or google and you'll find loads of information on the main relay. The problem lies with the solder joints becoming too hot and cracking making a poor connection. The problem can be fixed by buying a new main relay or re-soldering the solder joints. I recommend re-soldering the solder joints (cheap). This main relay problem is well known with this generation of Accords. Good luck.
