Default Skunk2 Manifold: Throttle cable bracket using a GSR cable and a $3 piece of AL

Old setup a Civic TB rotor and some other throttle cable brackets I pieced together.

The replacement bracket made from a aluminium bar.

The complete setup

Looks good

As for the breather filter..Ive heard the same thing...that its better to run a tube to the inatke (like stock) so that when sucking in air through the intake, it also pulls vapors from the valve cover. Just having a breather there doesnt suck up the vapers anymore.

Sucking up the vapors is a smog issue, not a performance issue. The E.P.A wants you to recirculate those gases and attempt to burn them before releasing them to the atmosphere. By putting the filter there instead you eliminate the vapors and oil residue and instead get fresh air. Have you ever looked inside the intake and throttle body on a car, all that oily residue is what is fed into your motor. I say filter, just not smog legal

I always heard that the valve cover needs a positive pressure on it, hence the tube running from the valve cover to the intake piping...

But you are right about the oily residue on the intake piping and the throttle body. Hmmmm.
