Post your best gas mileage for your integra before mod and after mod
Hi, I been trying my best to squeeze out every bit of gas in my full tank and get the best gas mileage in the car, The best I have got is like 390 miles on a 11 gallons full tank on my 2001 GS. I haven't mod anything except I put in a HKS spark plug and new wire, new air filter.
The car seems to fill up at 11 gallons, but the manual said that the capacity is like 13.5gallons?
Please post your mpg before mod and after mod, I want to see who have the best mileage and what they have done to their car.
thanks

that's because 2 gallons are reserved for when the car is on empty, so if you fill your car right when it gets to empty, you would've had two gallons reserved in the tank..........I'm fairly sure of this, but wouldn't mind some confirmation.
with I/H/E, and driving 80 to 100 mph at 3900k to 4200k RPM, on a long road trip I took recently, I was able to get 32 mpg.....but that was highway. I average 28 to 32 mpg as long as I don't hammer it a lot.

300+, I have no damn clue how you get close to 400miles per gallon. I have done all maintenence and only have Comptech short ram with A'PEXi power filter custom mated to it.
I got 125 on a quarter tank, you do the math
Then I started beating on it and got only up to 165miles when it was on exactly half a tank haha.

With the first engine (B18C5) I averaged around 24 mpg. With the second engine (D15B8) I averaged around 42 mpg. Then I built a minime and averaged around 39, but I was still running a P05 ECU.
300-340 miles out of 9-10 gallons of 92+ octane. K&N RU280(sp?) cone style filter in OEM air box.
if i visit the back roads often enough, i'll only see 280 miles.

1. Fill your tank and write down the mileage on your odometer.
2. The next time you fill your tank, write down the number of gallons you purchase and the mileage on your odometer.
3. Subtract your old odometer reading from your new reading to figure out how many miles you have traveled since you last got gas. Divide that figure by the number of gallons of gas you purchased, and you'll have a rough idea of how many miles you get to the gallon.
think about it, sheesh.

check tire pressure and air filter.

not sure what exactly the mpg was on my gsr before, but i got approx. 334 miles on 11 ga or so...and thats built...well minus the block so the compression is stock, but the entire head is basically new, header, exhaust etc, just goes to show you what good tuning can do for your mpg
