Acura Integra All Integra Except ITR

Can I tune my GSR Turbo while its throwing a Knock Sensor CEL or is it in limp mode?

Default Can I tune my GSR Turbo while its throwing a Knock Sensor CEL or is it in limp mode?

Can i tune my car while its throwing a Knock code (23) its not detonating at all nobody can figure out whats wrong with it or. Is there anyway to Bypass the Knock sensor or ground it or hook it in somewhere? Thanks Alot!

no. with a knock sensor code, the ecu will not allow full timing advance.

Shouldn't you be more worried about why the knock sensor is comming rather than tuning the motor? But like esponet said, no.

uhhmm........ i doubt its possible to be tuned while in limp mode period.........

It will not throw a code if the engine is knocking... it'll automatically retard the timing.

If it's throwning a knock circuit code it means that the sensor or circuit is defective and will ignore that sensor. Timing will be not be advanced as much as normal or even not at all. Fix the circuit or replace the sensor... pull out your Helms and fix it properly. You're gonna need a multimeter to check the resistances and voltages of the circuit. Shouldn't be too difficult to fix since it's only one wire (shielded)going to the knock sensor.
