Should I go for it? They are made by Audiovox. I know its expensive but I shouldn't skimp on my security. I thought Clifford and Viper were the top two. I never heard of Prestige. The shop claims they only using the best. Are they pulling my leg or is it so expensive that it's rare?

nah, they claim that prestige is the best b/c that's what they're licensed for.

prestige is popular as an 'affordable' alarm here.

compustar is the best.

clifford and viper are both REALLY good.

What should I look for? I'm willing to spend $500. I want a pager alarm. What't the point of an alarm if you don't know its on?

1- do they solder all connections.

2- will they remove all the unused wires

3- will they camouflage the the alarm wiring

4- what kind of warranty on the alarm and the install, will they replace it ,if it gos west, or lend you one till its fixed. ??????????

hope this helps 94

good lord that is expensive, down here you can get the clifford 3.5 for around 270 brand new. My personal experience with prestige was ok. It was fine at first, but as time went by, it juss started acting up, going off for no reason, sometimes didn't respond to remote, etc. Now I have had the Viper for over 1 1/2 years and has NEVER failed me in any way!

If you want, i'll pick one up for you.
