Castrol 20W50, running the thicker stuff. does not burn any oil at all. I will probably switch to 10W30 on the next oil change to see how it does

Using Mobil 1 10w30 Synthetic every 2-3k miles... Depend on how hard i drive it, the harder the earlier i changed it. Someone told me, your changing every 2k mile, just used the cheap oil... i aint gonna put nothing in my car that not synthetic...

haha, synthetic oil exists so that it doesn't break down, and can be used longer..
you're changing your oil so often that normal Mobil wouldn't break down anyway..

Just run normal Mobil and change it every 1500 miles..

If you want to be REALLY **** about it, get Full-flow oil filters.. normal oil filters have bypass valves that open when the filter is dirty and can no longer filter the oil.. full-flow will kill your motor by killing your oil pressure when the filter is clogged, since it doesn't have a bypass valve and oil can't get through the filter. just make sure you change the filter often enough that it doesn't ever get clogged..

i ran Mobil 5w30 for the first 46 miles on my new motor, i'm up to 160 miles now, with Mobil 10w30.. I'm thinking I'll switch back next oil change..

I use Mobil 1 in both my boosted cars.
I'll change it every 3500-5000 miles depending on how hard I run it, using fresh OEM filters, and a magnetic drain plug.

I don't know if I would want my filter killing my oil pressure just because it is dirty. Can we say bye-bye engine?
