Hi guys,
I was got done ghetto rigging my EVAP purge on my S2 IM. I just wanted to know if the position it's sitting in will be ok. Do these things have to be sitting straight up and down?
There are two places from which I could mount it from, but I just wanted to know if they'll be interfering with anything else. I used the fuel pipe stay to mount up the EVAP purge to the S2 IM, and I just got the correct size bolt to mount it up to the IM. I think it's an M6 bolt, but I can remember the pitch (1.25 maybe)?
Anyways, which one of these two locations look better:
#1 might be in the way of the fuel return line.

#2 dont know if anything will be in the way once it's in the car.

Thanks

Isn't the Purge solenoid on the firewall??
If you put it on to the Mani then you will have to length the wires so why do all that work??
But since you already did then the second looks good but not too sure of the clearance between the IM and the firewall.

That EVAP purge is from a stock B18C, I bought it way back before I knew that the stock DX one could have been used. It's ok though, I only paid a few bucks for it, I figured since I had it, I might as well use it.
In the second pic, towards the rear, the brake booster outlet on the S2 IM sticks out further then the EVAP by about an inch. On the bottom the IACV water lines are at about the same lever as the EVAP. I guess if either setup wont work I could use the stock DX EVAP on the firewall.

I just used my si one.</TD></TR></TABLE>
They dont look like it, but I'm sure they all serve the same purpose. One thing that I didn't even think about that CRX T-Si bought up was about my wiring. Since I'm using my stock DX harness, the wiring length for the EVAP will probably stay the same. I may end up using the stock DX EVAP after all.
