Default ghetto rig 97 headlights to 98 bumper?

I saw someone awhile back who had ghetto-rigged their 97 headlights to sit flush with the 98+ front bumper. Seeing how a 98+ set of headlights would set me off a couple hundred+ bucks, does anybody know how exactly this is done? Or how difficult it is?

It will look like ****, because the 98+ are on more of a slant. Just buy the right headlights.

You probably won't have to rig anything, because the 97 headlight probably wouldn't even touch the edges of the holes in the 98+ bumper.

Somebody did rig a 94-97 bumper to fit onto 98+ headlights on his ITR (had to cut parts of the holes on the older bumper), as a temporary fix because his bumper was damaged in a wreck or something, but that's the only thing I've seen like that.

i think it must've been your eloquent speech that really convinced me in the end. lol

if its gonna look like shiet i guess i'm going with just buying a set of headlights, but a net total of 50? Don't 98 headlights go for 200+, and 94-97s go for like...50-75? Which is a lot more than 50.

Regardless, thanks for the info, guess ghetto-rigging wont cut it this time.

yeah if you're patient, you can sometimes find someone selling the 98-01 lights/bumper for as little as $300- $350

That...or if you havent gotten your bumper yet, you could find someone selling the whole complete conversion for a couple hundred bucks.

There is someone selling a bumper on here for 175, thats what I payed for mine, and I payed 150 for the headlights. Not too bad IMO.

I 've also seen the same thing 97 headlights into a 98 and up bumber and I did not like it. Like someone else said sells those and get the 98 and up ones. You will like it much better I think and it will look alot better.
