Default The built motors running strong, now its time to build the turbo setup... :)

I finally got my built motor running like it should a few weeks ago, and thought I would post some pics of the latest. The plan was to get the motor swapped in and running good (projects always seem to have they're little issues) before I setup the turbo.

Specs...
95 B18C1
GE Sleeved 84mm O ringed block
Arias pistons (about 9.3:1 compression)
Crower Billets
JG ported head (1mm over ss valves, springs, Ti retainers...ect).
JG intake manifold (changed from Rons sheetmetal because of TPS issues).
rebuilt B16 cable tranny with a Quaife
Hondata S200B with Datalogging running 360 DSM injectors (for n/a).

Heres a lil photo shoot I had the other day...

Looks good. your setup really resembles mine except you are about 4 months ahead of me. I'm still getting the peices togehter as we speak but my setup is also a B18C1 9:1 84MM bore and I also wanted to break it in N/A. question tho. What ecu did you break it on on? stock ecu or the hondata based. I'm just curious cause I wanna break mines in with a stock PR3 OBD0 ecu and I'm wondering how lean it would be since it's not 4 litres bigger then what the ecu was made for. Some say to just up the fuel pressure. Let me know what you did. I'm just worried of brining it past vtec to seat the rings and running it lean

looks great man... any leaks or other issues when you first fired her up? (trying to get a heads up on what to look out for)

I would guess he's running only with Hondata rather then stock ecu... his motor is FAR from stock.

besides after reading Earl's post on motor break-in's, I won't be running any motor's untuned other then first time start up (few minutes)...

I am using a Socketed P28 with the hondata. I had a custom chip made to account for the larger bore. The first thing I did once I had the car running was hook up my innovate wideband and tuned the fuel pressure so I had roughly a 13:1 AFR @ WOT. This same base pressure gives me about 14.9:1 @ idle so it should be pretty good for emissions (this is mainly why I built the n/a setup first).

The turbo setup consists of...

.58ar T4 SC61 with the E housing (space restrictions)
LoveFab Mini-Me manifold
Tial 38mm HP
Tial 50mm BOV
Precision 880cc
GE fuel rail w/ stainless feed line from filter
Street imports intercooler (well see how she does... :/ . If its hindering performance, I will swap out to a Precision unit).
Custom solenoid controled 2 stage boost control.

I will be doing the tuning my self on a load based dyno.

Thanks for the replys guys. I couldn't have done this without HT. I have about 30 people on my HT thank list that I'm going to post once the setup is complete.

Thanks Jeremy

The tuning will most likely be done at PFI, but I'm not 100% yet.

The lip is actually a brand new 94 accord peice. as you can see, I had to cut a section out of the middle for fitment, but overall it came out really well! Best of all, the lip costs about $15.

Are you serious? thats awesome...you cant beat $15 for a lip. Did you buy it from a honda dealership or a junkyard or something? And is it from a certain style like a 2dr, 4dr, or a wagon? Also how did you attach it>

Sorry about all the questions on the lip...not trying to jack the thread. Like i said before nice setup and nice EF

Pretty sure its the EX model, but others might use the same one. I got it from Majestic brand new.

It has stock mounting holes, that I just drilled corrisponding holes for in the stock bumper. I then bolted it on to the bumper.
