Default vacuum leak...hrmm

I notice I have a vacuum leak somwhere(idles very high). I def. know its sucking air in places other than the intake. Can a bad brake booster be the culprit? I notice when I pump my brakes it makes the RPM's jump anywhere from 1-2k.

BTW, my car is OBD0

you'll notice a brake booster being bad because you wont have power brakes. thats a big fluxuation for just hittin the brakes though. i'd go ahead and check all vacumm connections, theres a spray out that helps to detect vacumm leaks. try that spray and see what you can come up with. also try cleaning the IAC out with some carb cleaner.

if your not throwing any codes... then i guess just hunt around for some vacumm, go throught whole diagram (underhood) and see what you come up with.

well, I am throwing codes. o2 sensor, fuel delivery(bad injector), map sensor, speedometer(wtf..it works), and 1 more that I couldnt think of. The car runs excellent, just on the rich side. And it idles very high, so I screwed in the idle screw all the way in so it wouldnt idle so damn high. I gotta have a vacuum leak somwhere...

actually a rough idle will come from a code 43 (fuel supply) which doesn't mean injector, it means more than likely its the o2 sensor. code 3 or code 5 map sensor will give poor driveability and poor fuel consumption. any time the car is in open loop it'll run rich. and the o2 sensor... thats obvious and looks related to the fuel supply system code.

ahhhh ok. Ya it gave me code 43, and I was like, "wtf man, whats 43?" and a friend said fuel delivery so I assumed either it was the fuel pump(least likely) or an injector(most likely, since mine arcs and ticks really loud) o2 sensor will def. get rid of some of those. And I get exoticar gas mileage with my beast...hahah, guess I better get a map sensor.

theres a big test procedure you need to go through to figure this all out... dont go buying parts just yet.

i'll refer you to my post i just made about code 43 the other day:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=939493

its the last post, only like 4 or 5 down, you'll see my name. do that procedure before anything.
