a d16z6 will get you into the low-flat 15s for 550 then go fi on it.

if you want to spend a little more (2500-2800) you can get a b16a 2nd gen

You don't need a mount kit to bolt a B-series motor into 92-95 civics. It bolst right up. But if you wanna go cheap, DO get a first get b16. But since your tranny is hydro you would need to convert it to cable. I do believe HASport makes a conversion kit for around 200 or so.

you might want to drop in a B20(no vtec)....check out what the hybrid guys are doing....quite impressive dyno results...150'ish at the wheels!

Either a b20 hybrid motor, or a first gen b16a would be your cheapest route. For the b16a you would need to convert to the cable tranny with a hasport kit. B20 would require some motor work on your part.

Well i see that right now you have a teggy ls so instead of suggesting an ls swap
i would prefer the b20 cuz it has more torque and bigger disp. and what motor work are you guys talking bout?? what an intake manifold change?? I see this as less work and cheaper than changing it to and cable-hydro cuz you wont have to do this and it mounts right up so whats the deal?? you'll get a newer motor with more torque compared to the 1st gen b16. there your question has been answered
and also if you decide to get a dx or anything besides an ex you wont have to worry about the wiring.

you can get a B16 for 2500 or less, and you can get an integra LS B18B for under 2500 as well, both would be good swaps.

I would definitely go B20 for that budget. It should be pretty easy to find a wrecked CRV and no need for tranny conversion.

If you go the stolen route, might as well get a B18C5. Although, it might be more costly in the long run.
