Compression ratio on pump gas please help
hey guys have a question for you.. im tryin to work on an all motor setup and was wondering what compression ration would be safe on pump gas.
b18c1 with 12.5:1 compression forged pistons and rods, web cams all upgraded valvetrain adjustable cam gears and bolt ons, tuned with hondata s100. please let me know your thoughts...is that compression ration gonna be too high for on the street on pump gas even if the car is tuned well?...if so what would be a safe number to shoot for and will i lose power with these cams if i lower the C/R?thanks in advance

I am also running 12.5:1 cr in my ITR. I am tuned with the s200 hondata and I run Amoco 92 all day long. You should be fine as long as it is tuned well.
thanks for the responses guys...I can get 93 octane pretty readily where i live but 92 is a little more common. I was kind of hoping to run at least 12.1:1 compression but i want it to be safe...hopefully i can pull it off...but i think i will make some more fuel upgrades and ignition as well.any more help guys?
