im planning on boostin my B16A1 sir II......
like topic says but my engine only pulls to 7600RPM. and i want to be able to rev higher before i throw on a turbo kit. i got a couple questions if i change my valves springs and retainers will that allow me to make power past 8200? and do i have to replace my valves or can i just replace my springs and get some titainium retainers? or to make things somple can someone just tell me a good valvetrain to get for a turbo set-up without replacing the cams? i was going to get skunk2 but i dont know how they will do with a turbo car and i figure theres prolly something better out therre for the money thanks.
Hmm...I'm pretty sure SirII came with 2nd gen B16's...I know my motor is OBD1 it only says B16A. Was almost positive B16A1 motors were OBD0..

If what vtecrob16a states is correct, you can change the rev-limiter simply through your ecu / management. But if the dyno shows that you would loose some power in the band, why go that much higher unless you're road racing?
