Fuel Pump Questions, Need some Quick advise...THANKS!!!!
Need real quick advice...in dispute. 2 of my buddies are swapping chasis...one has a 95 civic coupe and the other has a del sol. The coupe was sohc turbocharged ad the del sol was stock dx non vtec 1.5 liter. The turbo coupe has a walbro 255 lpr fuel pump and the del sol has a stock fuel pump. The fuel pump for the 2 are different so they cannot swap. The current priority is to get the 1.5 non vtec into the coupe so he can drive to work tomorrow. The question is...will the car run ok (doesnt need to be perfect or fast) with the bigger fuel pump with stock fuel rail and injectors for now. Arguement is that the fuel pump basically dilevers fuel to the engine and through the fuel rail and fuel regulator and back to the tank in larger quantities so that if you have bigger injectors that they will not drain the fuel rail. Now we agree that just having the fuel pump is going to raise the fuel pressure by some. Still it is argued that it will not run right. Need all opinions asap. Thanks a lot all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
