hi i'm gonna be doing a ls/vtec swap and i haven't bought the head yet and i was wondering would it matter if i bought a obd2 or a obd0 head with a b18b 96 ls block that is obd 2. do i have to match the head to be obd 2 or could i use a 1st gen b16 head. i am still kinda new to this but i'm gonna be taking my time making the full swap.

it doesnt matter about the block, other than the knock sensor. the only thing you need to worry about is the head, obd0,1,or 2. but you can use anyone you want, but if you want to be smog legal, go with obd2. cuz putting on an older head is illegal (in CA anyways) acually, any head swap is illegal, but go with a newer head to be safe.
