Default ACT Streetlite or ITR flywheel for boosted application?

I'm debating on what Flywheel will replace my former CM 8lb unit. The 8lb flywheel was a blast to drive NA, but the moment I went with boost, it was too hard to launch without breaking into madd wheelspin. So, I sold it to a friend running a high CR NA application.

That leaves me with a choice.
I can go with an ACT streetlite at 12 lbs, or a new ITR fw at 14 lbs.

Which would you go with?

when i weighed my R flywheel it was about 13lbs.....so i would reccomend getting the type R one since oem is always better, and i think in this case is cheaper too.

What clutch are you planning to bolt to the flywheel? Are you planning to go to the racetrack often?
If you make frequent trips to the track and are planning to use a stiff pressure plate I suggest the ACT flywheel over the ITR. I would rather have a SFI sert flywheel in this case over a cast flywheel (ITR).
Cast flywheels don't hold up as well when they are at high operating temps.

The ACt flywheel is pretty a good flywheel for the cost

I tend to think the same way as you BROOD, in that the SFI cert unit would be safer. In fact, I think the ACT unit is actually around $25 less than the ITR unit. Regardless, I think ACT is the way I'm going to go.

Btw, I'm running an ACT Pressure plate, and RPS sprung 6 puck. It's mainly a weekend and track car, not really a daily driver.

I'm at this same decision... I'm going with the ACT

What weight are you going with?
I was at 8lbs with my CM, and it was a bitch to launch!

Before that, I ran a 14lb lightened factory unit, and it was nice.
Hopefully a 12lb ACT unit will work well.

I have used both and I would say go with the ACT.. Also because it is SFI approved..

Yep, puck discs put more heat into the flywheel surface. The ACT will live longer under those conditions.
