Where are you located? I am trying to look for a clean one. Do you have some pictures that you can post up here? I see you are in CA, but Southern or northern Cali? Thanks.
Sorry did not see the link. I went into the link and saw all this info. I am located in South Cali and if we can arrange some kind of meeting, I would like to come up and see the car myself. Please let me know and thanks
I wish this was 2-3 months down the road.
Chris - who really always wanted a cw, and now isn't sure whether to sell and get a cw, or keep the py and fix the few small issues....

Why you would want to buy another Type R in white while you have it in yellow? If you want to change the color? Why don't you just get it painted? I think it will be much less expesnive, isn't it?

Let's see. If I owe 12k and get 15-16k for mine, then turn around a buy one for 15-16k and have that 3-4k to put down (plus a few k myself) and have a loan (would be 10k probably) which is 33% less than my current 15k-ish loan... how am i wasting money? a good paint job, engine bay, door jams, etc, wow, HUGE money to do it right. many thousands AND continuing along with my big monthly payment and interest rate.
To be quite honest, if i sold my car now i'd probably end up ahead in the end if I purchased another given that I'd put several thousand down and have a much lower payment/term/total loan amount. Or at least in a smaller hole than the one I'll be in if I keep this car with my current % rate and the fact that I leased it THEN bought it.
Maybe I want a 97 to have one of the very few original US models. maybe I want a any cw just because i want a cw. Maybe both. Probably both. Pretty much always wanted CW.
Chris - glad to finally find out the car has no frame damage and can be fixed up with an alignment and a few tack welds... but still unhappy with 1107 and all its yellow-ness.

Yea, that is true and smart move. I like the CW better than PY as well. However, it is very hard to find a clean one since it has been at least 7 years after they released it.
