Default Big thanks to Jon (B18C-Rsi).... and to Trey

Just wanted to thank Jon for his great idea and hard work in putting together the gift for Trey as a small token of our appreciation for what he has done for the ITR expo community.

I'm glad I was able to arrange the presentation by working with Jon, grabbing Jeff/Budman and Jack (to speak, as I'd just babble, lol), and spreading the word during the beginning of the banquet. (with cheezthis... thanks for the help Jay!!!)

We all definitely owe Jon our thanks - we all wanted to do something to recognize Trey for his tremendous work; Jon brought up the idea to me many months ago and did ALL the work in putting them together.

I don't have any pics - but I'm sure most of you who do have them an post them up

Finally thanks to Trey again for a great expo. It might have been smaller in volume, but this expo was as good as (if not better than) expo 3. I'm really excited to see what becomes of expo 5 based on the conversations I had with Trey and a few midwest people.

It was great to meet everyone and great to spend time with friends from last year and other events. Awesome to see that the ITR community is still very alive.

Now post up some pics of the presentation and the gift damnit!

...and huge thanks to the sponsors! It wouldn't be the same without their prizes, and their support.

What are the preliminary thoughts for location of expo 5? I know some of you may not want to hear that question, lol.

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said....thanks Trey and company...another great expo!

Here's a hint...

It'll be somewhere between the Pacific ocean and the Atlantic ocean and the north pole and the south pole.

-Dave, who might know of it's location. Or not..

That narrows it down enough, lol. I didn't think I'd get much, but it was worth a shot.

Don't worry, I wouldn't be surprised if the information is out soon enough.

Personally I'd prefer the track date, etc to be settled before it's released but too many people know about it. Like Chris N, and that bitch can't keep his mouth shut at all

I think the earlier things get settled, the more likely participation will be up to expo 3 status...definitely easier to plan the further ahead you know about something.

I would suggest holding at a track that (a) has already been built, and (b) is not located near neighbors who are complaining about it.

Seriously, I would also suggest that whoever is foolish enough to step up and run the thing will make that call, based on factors like the quality of the tracks, the daily rental rates, the availability of dates, the proximity of the location to lots of ITR owners who have signed up for previous Expos in large numbers, etc.

I would help who ever takes on the task but since I don't know all the aspects I would suck as the leader.

I'm there for EXPO5.

Ken, it was good meeting you and chatting

And mistaking your car for mine. Twice! (Car numbers I0 and 10.)

And both running out of brake pads together. Well, okay, maybe that part wasn't so good.

I found the next place to hold Expo 5! This place is pretty much in the middle of the country (and close to me)...

Funny you said that.... I distincly remember a conversation about Texas .... several days ago. It wasn't encouraging.

Chris - who means no offense, but the quote to remember from the conversation was "no one in texas wants to help out at all, they just want the expo in their state and refuse to go anywhere else."

Well, I can't disagree completely. Many of the people I've met in TX only care about straight line speed. I'd help out though.
