Default Cam Swap

This weekend, I swapped out my 1st gen B16A cams for a set of 99 SI cams. Anybody do this, PROS/CONS? I do kinda notice the power band feels smoother. Any other impressions?

I'm confused

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SuperJay &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> I do kinda notice the power band feels smoother.</TD></TR></TABLE>

thats just your mind ****** with you.

that motor makes like 2-3 hp more, and it's not due to cams.

I swapped older B16A cams for newer ones. I had heard that the Gen 1 Cams were kinda shitty and that the later versions of the cams were better, not necessarily in HP but all around(ex, smoother power band). Just wondering if anybody did this as well and if they noticed anything.

I was retorquing the head anyways and decided to throw these in to give it a try. The VTEC sounds louder on engagement and the power band seems smoother(no real dead spots). But it could all be mental. I'll post in the tech frum and see what they say. The reason I'm askin bout this is cuz I hear that gen 1 b16 cams are not very good.

i thought a b16 was a b16...

you would feel gains from a ITR or CTR though.
