Default Amber Climate Control/Clock

Dont think spending 50+ for a clock and 100+ for a climate control is realistic and they are tough to come by. I have searched plenty and I have found the standard tutorial here: http://geocities.com/mt3c/. The problem is the link to the ebay auction is dead and I am not sure what type of "translucent film" to use. If anyone has any experience/ideas please let me know. TIA.

You can get any transparent color sheets at your local art stores.

Just go to a hobby store and buy some transparent film. Because it is much easier to do the clock,do it first so you know about how many layers it is gonna take to achieve the results you want.

Again... brands, color name any specifics. I am aware that hobby shops and craft stores carries these supplies, but I want to find out what looks the best from what other people have done.

Monokote TOPQ0302 = Transparent Orange

Run down to your hobby shop and grab a roll. THe part number is for the 6 foot roll. It has an adhesive side so you can just lay it over the pieces. One layer is fine. No pictures unfortunately, but it worked fine for me.

Yeah, but you still can't change the colors of the OEM head unit easily. (not that the POS is even worth keeping)

Thanks for the help man. This was the kind of answer I was looking for. Let me know if you get some pics. I plan on doing this within the next week or two. I will post pics when I am finished.
