Default GS-R head removal?

I am going to rip off my head tomorrow, and need a little help. Could anybody that has done this before and got snagged on something and later figured out it was only something small, share it with me, so I wont make the same mistake. I could also use some diagrams and step by step instructions for removal of the head, intake manifold, distributor etc... thanks, need asap.

Heres some help: DOnt do anything until you get a Helms manual or something like that, unless you have done this already, which i doubt by the sound of your post. Its going to save you a lot of headaches and time to have a manual.

I got a haynes manual, and found step by step instructions and information on removal of the intake manifold mount, but do I need to remove it if I am not going to remove the intake manifold, I plan on just unbolting it from the head, I am not sure if it is possible to remove the head without moving the intake manifold out of the way. thanks for the help.

you dont need to remove the intake manifold........i pulled my head off with the mainifold, tb, and upper header still on.......there is a bracket underneaththe IM so you might need to unbolt that.........should be easy without the oil filter on.....same with the lower IM bolts

I I should drain all the fluids before, oil and antifreeze. I just need the head so if I left the intake and exhaust manifold on then, I would have to disconnect all of their wires and cables and hoses.

its alot easier to disconnect the wires, and hoses from the IM than it is to disconnect the IM from the head........once the head is off with the IM and exhaust manifold, taking them off the head is a piece of cake(2 min)

I removed the head last night, but I just kept all the hoses and wires on the intake manifold connected, and I removed all of the bolts from the intake manifold to the head, and the three on the bracket for the intake manifold. Then I removed the b-pipe from the catalytic converter, and then removed the bolts from the head to the exhaust manifold, other than the timing belt and distributor, there wasn't much else. However, I did be accident remove the wires from from the O2 sensor on the cat, not the plug, but the wires came out of the plug, and I was wondering if anyone had a diagram of which color wire goes into which of the plug holes, or if somebody could crawl under their teg and check it for me, thanks.
