How does one know when to change spark plug wires? How often should they be changed?

 

if they are all black when you pull them out.? every 30,000 i think or maybe 60,000 miles.. i'm not sure. someone else help ...

How about a 1989 LS model?

 

Check your service manual to see the intervals that will show when they need to be changed. 60k is the "age" for Integras.

If you want to test them, hook them up to an Ohm meter and test them according to the specs in the Helms manual, which I dont have handy at this time.

Do faulty plug wires give the same symptoms as fuel injectors that need cleaning?
