Default dynos of stock(0909)/nearly-stock(0484) R's

here is my sae corrected graph. the picture shows stock vs timing advanced to 18deg (red).

here are pollo chickenboy's sae corrected graphs. he has the apexi n1 catback and k&n dropin filter.
this is "stock" vs no airbox cover (red):

this is "stock" vs exhaust silencer in (red):

it looks like the 00-01 R's put down 167-169 stock.

Ouch, it hurts to look at those pictures.

Your stock R is very strong. What was the ambient temp at the time of dyno?

yah, he needs to focus that damn digi cam next time

mine are the two bottom graphs...when i was testing it was about 65degrees, prolly similar to him....but all graphs are SAE corrected for temp and such...

BTW like I suspected, just an exhaust on an ITR doesnt do much, but the looks of things...especially since i barely lost anything with putting that restrictive silencer in there (bottom graph)

Kind of hard to judge really, on my car the dyno numbers for any given back to back runs can vary a couple of HP just due to engine temp..Hard to tell if small mods are making Hp differences or if the motor is just the ideal temp...

I probably have the weakest ITR around. All I got on my run was 154HP. It surely does hurt to look at those numbers. But congrats, must feel good to have a strong ITR. :thumbup

Yeah, but did you dyno it when it was raining outside. Humidity plays a huge roll. I hope the weather will be crisp and cool on Sat for ATL dyno day.

No, that's what makes it even more dissapointing, it was in July and freaking 85 degrees. My only consolation is that, despite my underpowered motor, I usually do well against most other cars on lapping days, courtesy of upgraded pads, R compound tires, and the car's amazing cornering ability. If I had a 165whp bone stock engine, I am sure it would make a difference.

Just buy my car, and you'll have more than 165whp...for slightly above $20k....
