$220 +$75 labour for a damn seatbelt part?? the winder/locking part...read
ok first off my seatbelt is fully extended and will not wind back up into the side of the car or where ever it goes, so wtf i went to acura today they took my seatbelt apart i guess and found out that the peice that winds up and locks the seatbelt when its jerked is broke, they told me $220 for the new peice +$75 for the labour, i was now looking at the momo 3-point harness for 120$ but BUT it takes out the seat behind me because it has to be bolted to the space where a person would sit behind me...is there any place where i can get that acura peice for a LOT cheeper than 220$ CDN or any other harness where i can still have use of my backseat on the drivers side??
Don't bother using a harness unless you bolt it down properly. It will do more harm if it's not correctly installed.
Seatbelts are suppose to be covered under warrenty FOR THE LIFETIME of the vehicle and should be replaced at no charge at any time since it is a safety issue.
I'd double check with them and your local laws and make sure they're not trying to rip you off.

Go to AHmotor.com or to your local junk yard and find a used one and bolt it in yourself.
dont play around with safety equip you can get hurt this is serious and the high asp labor is honda standard! sucks but if u owned a benz it would be worse! good luck!

HAHA no ****. My mom's new S500 costs about $90 to get an oil change at the dealership. European cars are always more expensive when it comes to ANYTHING.
Hmm. In my 90 Integra I had both sides fixed because the auto belt wasn't moving back to the proper position. This was covered under warranty, like G3-TEG said, for the life of the car.
My dealer told me that the belt being damaged (like a dog chewed on it) was the only case where it WASN'T covered under warranty. Maybe you should try a different dealer? You could check a junkyard, but with something like a seatbelt, you're really better off getting it fixed with new parts. It might seem expensive, but when some jackass runs into you and your seatbelt doesn't work, you're going to do a lot more damage to yourself than $295 would fix.
The Momo harness is a _bad_ idea if you plan on just draping it over the seat and bolting it to your rear seatbelt mounting points. The angle is just too steep that way.
