OK i have a 92 Accord ex. Couple days ago it started dying out(stalling). it will do it when it wants to basically. Dont get me wrong i live in Las Vegas and its like 110-115. Its Damn hot. But i have replaced the main relay and it didnt fix it. I have checked the spark and its fine. I have checked the ignition and it is fine. I am running out of ideas here and i need this car to get to work so i can finish the mods to my91 accord wagon that just got the h22 swap. Without the sedan to get to work there goes my toy just sitting there in the garage, Just wanting mods...
If anyone has any ideas please let me know..

do you have spark and fuel in all cylinders?

 

When it stalls, does it start right back up?
If not, what's missing: fuel or spark?

 

Even if your getting spark you may still have an intermitten failure. Try replacing plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil. It may also need an ignitor. More then likely though the first will take care of the problem.

 

I had exactly the same situation, for a 1991 Acc Lx ...I replaced the main relay and even the module that was in the distr. and didn t correct it...The distribuitor cap and the rotor looked good , but the trouble came from those 2 parts : rotor and dist. cap. I replaced them , and there was no more trouble. If they were not replaced short time ago, you may want to look into that .Afterall, the rotor and the dist. cap is not too expensive...and would only improve ,if not eliminate the problem totally...

 

OK e1 I got the ignition modular and that solved the problem. While I was there I did the plugs, cap, rotor and it runs great again.

I would like to let everyone know that this is the greatest sight. I am a member of another honda sight and posted there first and still to this date only got one response.

i had a similar problem. i got 01 Accord EX V6, and i had trouble with starting. my car was able to start, but it took longer time to start than normal. however, the car became ok if the engine wasn't cold. it sounds weird, i know. i went to two dealers and did 3 times diagnostic test. the 1st time, dealer told me i got bad battery and asked me to change the battery, which i did. it died again. the 2nd time, they said they got no clue. the third time, they still saying they got no clue and started blaming my sounds system. (i got that sounds system more than 1 year ago, why it happen now? -_-; however, what's my solution? none. i sold my car and bought new solara (sounds i dont' belong here anymore, but come on, i still like honda.)

Now, my frnd, she has 04 accord LX V6, is experiencing the same problem now! @.@ she just sent her car to local dealer. i just hope her car will get fixed. anyone experience the same problem like i had? and any clue... WHY IT HAPPENED? hum... it still is a unsolve mystery for me

 

I have the same proplem. I have a 93 accord with like 198k on it. AUTO
i have msd 6al and have replace rotor and new msd cap.

still having to try and start the car 2-3 time before she rolls over. The starter is still strong but it just seems like after i CRANK it, it doesn't say running and stalls.

I never ever had this issue before. It use to be like BAM! started right up, and for the past few 3-5 months it's been slightly longer hesiation.
now it's finally dies on 1st crank and need 2-3 tries.

DRIVES FINE though.
