I finally got my R back after 9 days in Acura, they sent my head to a machine shop to be honed, then did complete rebuild all exhaust and intake valves, gaskets, rings ect. All on warranty, not a thing said about driving hard. I didn't pay a cent. She runs really strong now, but she still went through 1 litre of oil in 600 kms with no vtec (didn't go over 5000rpms)???? I have to take it back into acura on Monday for them to check oil for consumption test.
I just put in my new kenji p28, and now it is time to go hit some back road bends with the new 5200 vtec crossover.

so clean

If that is you motor in the pic, there is no way that Acura is doing warranty work on your motor, because look at all that you have done to it!
Not that I don't believe you, I just chose not to. Where is this Acura dealer, and when can I get an appointment?

Thats a pic of my motor from this morning, they said as long as I did no work to the engines internals that my warranty would be fine. Acura of North Toronto was trying to sell me a mugen header when I bought my R.
Why would Acura not cover the problems he was having with his car? Any reputable Acura shop will tell you the only way they will not cover something under warranty is if they can prove the modifications done to the vehicle were the direct cause of the damage... And I cannot see an intake header, and possible exhaust causing a faulty head. Perhaps the driver but not the mods... just my .02

My Arc intake has no box, and I have 2 front bars for a stiffer ride, I have 7 bars in total. 3 stock bars, tanabe front, spoon rear upper, duluck floor bar , c pillar bar and Tein NA coilovers = One tight ride. Corners are fun....
I will be getting my R tuned in 9000kms when warranty is up, air/fuel ect. so that should clean up the black smoke, but kenjis p28 is so fun, I don't mind cleaning the back bumper everyday.

Nice man.
About the warrenty , your right as long as you dont mess with the internals and the damages were not caused by the parts, you will be good.
At least thats what my Honda dealer told me.

My dealership I worked at was retarded. They replaced a motor(under warranty) in a 2k1 civic after the kid blew it up on nitrous(the kid said it just shut off on the interstate). That kid should've had to pay for the motor. It was funnyb/c he posts on a local msg. board and I showed my service manager that this kid was pulling his leg w/ his little story but it was too late then we'd already replaced it.
