every time i hit a bump, reflector, anything not flat in the road, a rattling noise come from my drivers front. its kinda like a mix between a hyper active cricket, and a baby rattle. its hard to explain. what would it be?

BUMP

 

i did a visual inspection of every thing. bushings are worn and old, but still functional. my cv boot is split, but the joint is still well lubricated and the entire boot is still there, just a split halfway down the middle.

nothing appears to be lose or broken.
