Default Installed FLP oil pan baffles, pics included

Ordered up some FLP oil pan baffles ( http://www.fastlineperformance...e.htm ) to try and remedy the loss of oil pressure I encounter on hard left hand turns when racing. Since last fall when I got my Advan A032R's, VTEC has been cutting out regularly during accelerating/turning on lefties.

First note, big thanks to Greg at Fastlineperformance.com, he was very quick with responses and was able to accomodate my needs for next day air shipment without any question. With the AJ-R trackday approaching Aug. 2nd, I wanted to use this weekend as a prep for the R because I am moving into a new house all next weekend and would likely fall short on time.

The initial quality looks very good from the baffles, very nice smooth edges, so welding material to them will not be an issue.

I dropped the oilpan and cleaned it with simple green, and then used 400grit sandpaper to take the thin layer of paint off of where the welds would be located. Fitment was good, but I have yet to test fit it on my car, thats tomorrow.

I took the pan and baffles to a friend who used to be a Boeing welder for their Aerospace division...he does beautiful work, especially on exhaust manifolds, so I figure a simple oil pan baffle will be a walk in the park.

End result, good fitment, clean, and hopefully functional. I'll give a full report on how they work next monday night after the AJ-R trackday. Here is a little eye candy. The pan will be painted with high temp flat black paint after I test fit the pan.

Hopefully it'll be better than the 10-94 oil pan baffles.

The problem I noticed with the 10-94 pans, is that they did not prep the welding area well. Acetone and sanding is required to get a good welding surface. Plus the "quality" of the 10-94 welds are in question...I have great confidence in my friends ability to weld.

BTW, this is his exhaust manifold he made for his 7M-GTE MK3 supra. All 321 Burns Stainless and all TIG welded by himself and made in his garage. He also made the intake manifold:

Turn 2 sometimes, and turn 8 almost every time I push hard. Its really only when I'm accelerating and turning left hard. The last AJ day I had to drop down to 5/10 driving around those corners because I did not want my motor to go kapoot! Hopefully these baffles will do the trick.
