NEEDING HELP!
I have a 1991 civic Dx. Its stock. The damn thing keeps dying while i drive it. Seems to do it more often when its first used in the morning. I have replaced a bunch of parts already. Alternator, Ignition ignitor, valve spring, plugs, wires, fuel filter. The mechanic said the fuel pump has good pressure (he never had the guage on it when the car dies) I dont know what to think anymore. anyone have any ideas? injectors? the fuel pump?
you should be able to hear the fuel pump when you first turn the key in the morning. Listen for it. Then, next time you car dies see if you can hear the pump going. Also, does the check engine light come on after it dies? Once you figure out how to read the ecu codes (if you dont already) it will take all the headache out of troubleshooting your honda. good luck
yes read the ecu codes, then go to www.autolibrary.org and find out what the code stands for. my car did the same thing for a while, then the distributor fried, not saying thats the case, but why not check that anyways, make sure the cap and rotor are all cool! goodl uck.
