Default has anyone thought of this??????

i was thinking on a gsr i wonder if instead of the intake changing at 5800 if you could put a switch some where to change that earlier like 5000rpm and if it would make power difference????? or is 5800 rpm the optimal point of cross over????i know that having the long runners closed all the time kills low end power but what if you could close off the long runners earlier??? comments.........

Just get a VTEC controller. Then you can lower the rpms when the butterfly kicks in and it crosses over.
